It will give advice on how to transform a thesis into a high-quality journal article, and cover all the information in order to present data in your article to a high standard.

This course will help learners to:

• Evaluate why data is used within a journal article and make informed decisions on when and how to use research data.

• Recognize key ways to present data and apply these formats appropriately.

• Create and format data presentation techniques that highlight findings and drive impact. 

• Understand the different types of research data and how to document it.

• Understand what open research data is, why sharing data is important, and how to share it.

• Reuse suitable material in their article while abiding by appropriate copyright and permission guidelines.

• Effectively turn your thesis into an article. 

• Evaluate the advantages and limitations of supplemental materials to inform what material will best support their paper. 

• Identify suitable materials that should be incorporated within supplemental files.
