There are 5 modules in this course:

 

1. Presenting data

This module highlights key reasons to present data in a journal article and the different ways data can be presented.

2. What is research data and how to share it

This module examines what open data is and how, and why, to share research data.

3. Reusing third-party material

Copyright and permissions can be difficult to decipher. This module gives authors the necessary knowledge to reuse material inline with copyright and permission guidelines. Authors will also learn how to turn a thesis into a journal article.

4. Turning your thesis into an article

The process of writing a manuscript is considerably different from the work undertaken for academic degree requirements. The focus of this module is to provide potential authors with tips and advice for converting their completed thesis into a manuscript.

5. Supplemental material

Supplemental materials are often overlooked by authors. This module helps authors identify suitable materials that should be incorporated within supplemental files.
