At Campus, we have just launched a brand-new collection which we are thrilled to share with you! As you dive into these courses, you will notice some changes. You can always check out the changes on our Demo Hub if you’re not a customer yet. So, let’s get into it - what changes have we made and what drives them?
Our vision for learning design has always been about helping learners engage meaningfully with the content. So, on one hand we have the learners, and on the other hand we have the content, and we need to bridge the gap between the two. How do we get learners to actively participate so that the content is enriching for them? That’s where clever design principles and solid learning theories come into play. To stay on track with our pedagogical vision, we’ve boiled down our priorities to reducing cognitive load, aiding executive function, enhancing visual design, and improving accessibility. These serve as our north star when designing courses and help meaningfully connect the learner to the content.
In terms of visual design, the color palette for Collection 2 is monochromatic and more tonal. Our goal? To reduce cognitive load and distractions for learners. We applied this palette to all the course features including icons, sidebars, and borders to create a cohesive theme for the new collection. The following image gives you a taste of the updated color palette:

When designing our courses, we want to make sure learners can process information effortlessly. The way we present and organize content plays a huge role in this, so we’re excited to share some of these changes in Collection 2.
Content is more comfortable to read thanks to increased line spacing.
Optional hint features have been added for those tricky questions, giving learners a little nudge in the right direction when they need it most.
Resources now appear on the Resource Page. Course transcripts, downloadable resources, and external links all live in one handy spot which is easy to navigate, and easy to reference later, as is shown in the following images:

These enhancements are just some of the ways we remove barriers and create a smooth, enjoyable learning experience. They seamlessly blend with our existing features, including opportunities for self-reflection to aid pacing, real-world examples to make the content relevant, and personal touches to boost motivation.
In 2024 we improved accessibility across all our courses, ensuring that all learners can benefit from these valuable changes. Our existing courses were improved, and we made sure to design the new courses with the same valuable changes in mind:
All interactive elements are now compatible with assistive technology
All videos have downloadable transcripts, easily accessible at key points
Instructional text is less ambiguous and more inclusive
At the heart of our mission is bringing all these elements together to make the learning journey better for everyone. From the little tweaks to the big updates, our goal is to create accessible, well-designed content that seamlessly connects learners with the material they’re engaging with.
