Joe Shaw is a PhD student and research assistant at the Oxford Internet Institute. His research examines the adoption of data analytics platforms in real estate markets. 

His thesis critically evaluates how such technologies are transforming property market practices, notions of market value, and how this is affecting different processes and spaces of urbanization. 

He has previously worked as a senior market research analyst.
